PIKSEL 2014

It has been some years since I have posted from Bergen´s PIKSEL festival now.
The 2014 festival is probably over when you read this, but this is what it´s about:

"Piksel is an annual event for artists and developers working with free and open source software, hardware and art. Part workshop, part festival, it is organized in Bergen, Norway, and involves participants from more than a dozen countries exchanging ideas, coding, presenting art and software projects, doing workshops, performances and discussions on the aesthetics and politics of free and open source software".

Most of this go way over my head, and I usually go to see the exhibitions, and talk a bit with these strange people.

Are you one of the people who might be interested in using air as a transmitting medium for binary codes (sending smoke signals and decoding them!), using Thorium (radioactive) for generating random numbers (for cryptographic keys) and and making "glasses" for ultrasonic vision (I tested them as you may see!)? Well this is the festival for you, and you find more info here.
